Step 1 – Discovery
It’s important to understand who you are, the structure and ownership of your company, what you sell, and your understanding of the GovCon marketplace and all it’s channels. We will discuss if you are considered a small business, 8a, WOSB, VOSB, SDVOSB, HubZone, Alaska Native Corporation, or Native American owned entity. This information will help me to determine which programs might augment your appeal as both a prime contractor to the government, and as a subcontractor/vendor to large businesses with GovCon subcontract reporting requirements. Finally, we will set expectations for the work we’ll do together.
Step 2 – Market Analysis
In this step, I go to work and begin my market analysis. I identify who buys what you sell, how much they buy, how often they buy it, how they buy it and who they buy it from. At the end of my analysis, I will present my findings to you along with my recommendations.
Step 3 – Finalize an action plan
The VIP program concludes by establishing a fully populated action plan complete with tasks and completion dates. We will decide which activities I will complete, and identify actions that you will take, with me acting as your coach and advisor.
